About this role

Ascension's Revenue Integrity Analyst role bridges clinical documentation and hospital billing operations, requiring someone who can read complex medical records fluently and spot where charges fall through the cracks. You'll conduct chart audits within Cerner EHR, validate charge data against actual clinical treatment, and flag discrepancies for the revenue cycle team to address. The work sits at the intersection of compliance and finance—translating what physicians documented into what gets billed correctly.

Beyond individual audits, you'll help design training programs, collaborate with the Charge Description Master team to standardize billing workflows, and build reporting systems that track charge capture performance and the financial impact of your integrity initiatives. This is a full-time, in-office position in Wichita, Kansas, suited for someone with a strong clinical background who understands inpatient and outpatient billing workflows and is comfortable navigating Cerner systems.

The role requires either a high school diploma plus two years of relevant experience, an associate's degree, or a bachelor's degree, or four years of direct revenue cycle and charge capture work. If you have hands-on experience in hospital billing compliance and can interpret medical documentation with confidence, this could be a good fit.
