About this role
McClure Oil Corporation is hiring a General Retail Manager for their location in City, Indiana. This role involves leading store operations, driving merchandising and marketing initiatives, and delivering strong customer service. You'll manage team performance, handle scheduling, and oversee day-to-day retail operations at a convenience or fuel retail site. The position requires you to be on your feet for extended periods, use ladders, lift up to 50 lbs., and handle basic math and computer tasks.
The company emphasizes internal advancement—80% of their Store Managers began as Store Associates—making this a genuine entry or mid-level management opportunity rather than a lateral move. You'll need previous retail experience, strong leadership and people management skills, and the ability to motivate a team. The role demands passing a background check, credit check, and drug screen, plus holding a valid driver's license.
McClure Oil offers weekly pay, flexible scheduling, paid time off, and a retirement plan with 6% matching. If you're motivated by a company culture that prioritizes people and want room to grow within an organization, this could be a solid fit.
