About this role
Working across two linked luxury hotels, you'd handle the day-to-day maintenance that keeps The Westin Brisbane and Four Points by Sheraton running smoothly. The role involves using the property's Work Request System and Preventative Maintenance Program to prioritize tasks, managing plant rooms and workshop spaces, conducting room inspections against hotel standards, and responding to issues as they arise. You'll work rotating shifts and report directly to the Chief Engineer or Maintenance Supervisor, communicating daily about progress and any obstacles.
This position suits someone with proven maintenance or engineering experience in a multi-disciplinary setting who understands hospitality operations and takes pride in detail-oriented work. You'll need a hands-on approach, a genuine commitment to safety, and the ability to anticipate guest needs through observation—sometimes solving problems yourself, sometimes coordinating with other team members. The role demands reliability and a willingness to learn within a structured, standards-driven environment.
Marriott offers substantial training through both The Westin's internal programs and internationally recognized Marriott courses, plus accommodation discounts across their global portfolio, food and beverage discounts, wellbeing programs, and an Employee Assistance Program. The company is certified as a great place to work and actively supports equitable recruitment; if you need adjustments to the application process, you can contact sarah.black1@westin.com.
