About the role
Rapid growth, expanding fintech partnerships, and evolving EU regulatory frameworks (AMLR) make Business KYC one of the bank’s most strategic priorities. As Senior Product Owner for BKYC domain, you will lead the vision, strategy, and execution for our business onboarding and periodic review platforms. You will partner closely with engineering, compliance, and commercial stakeholders to automate manual workflows, reduce processing times, and build scalable systems that unlock business growth while ensuring strict regulatory compliance. You’ll serve as the dedicated leader for our BKYC engineering team, setting clear priorities and driving product excellence from day one.
While this role focuses on BKYC, strong product owners from adjacent domains - such as retail KYC, CDD, AML, or broader financial crime prevention - are highly encouraged to apply. What matters most is your ability to untangle complex business structures (like corporate hierarchies, cross-border entities, and screening workflows) and translate them into scalable product solutions.
Your Role
- Take full ownership of a product sub-domain, from conceptualization to delivery, ensuring alignment with overall business goals. Together with the Engineering counterparts form the leadership team for the domain.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization, clearly communicating product visions, strategies, and updates.
- Contribute to the creation and execution of product roadmaps, setting clear priorities and milestones.
- Implement and refine agile methodologies within the development team to enhance productivity and delivery quality.
- Drive the development of solutions that meet market needs and user expectations, staying ahead of industry trends and applying creative thinking to solve problems.
- You participate in the proactive identification, management, and mitigation of risks and findings within your product domain, aligning with Solaris' compliance and policy standards.

About this role
Solaris is building Europe's embedded finance platform as a fully licensed bank, and they're prioritizing Business KYC as a strategic growth area. This Senior Product Owner role puts you in charge of the BKYC domain—owning the vision, strategy, and execution of business onboarding and periodic review platforms. You'll lead an engineering team, work across compliance and commercial stakeholders, and translate complex regulatory requirements and business structures into scalable product solutions that reduce manual work and accelerate processing times.
The role demands someone who understands both the technical and regulatory sides of fintech banking. You'll need at least three years as a Product Manager or Owner, ideally with banking or fintech experience, and a solid grasp of BKYC processes like corporate verification and UBO identification. Experience with B2B or BaaS onboarding models is valuable, as is awareness of evolving EU AML regulations. You should be comfortable working with engineering teams, communicating clearly across diverse stakeholders, and leading through ambiguity—especially as a senior-level contributor expected to mentor others and handle complex initiatives.
This is an in-office role in Berlin at a company actively reshaping banking around AI and modular infrastructure. If you've worked in financial crime prevention, KYC, or adjacent compliance domains, Solaris explicitly welcomes applications even if you haven't worked specifically on BKYC before.
