About the role
As Two Chairs enters its next phase of rapid growth, we’re looking to add a FP&A Manager to our dynamic Finance team. You’ll work closely with the Head of FP&A, CFO, Controller, company leadership, and partners across our marketplace operations, talent acquisition, demand generation, and clinical teams to drive meaningful business impact and power our company-wide forecasting & planning. In helping the company scale rapidly and efficiently, you’ll build and improve systems and processes, setting the company up to support its rapid growth plans for years to come. If you have great attention to detail, love building process & systems, and are highly analytical, structured, and collaborative, this is your role!

You'll be responsible for leading headcount planning & budgeting, managing holistic expense & cash forecasting, supporting strategic initiatives (including the path to profitability), and developing highly scalable financial foundations.

Core Areas of Responsibility

    • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop accurate forecasts and financial models for all headcount & vendor investments, and establish core reporting packages for holistic functional and departmental budgets.
    • Lead the bi-annual corporate budgeting process, ensuring visibility and accuracy into assumptions for costs across all departments.
    • Support Leadership & Finance Team visibility into resource allocation, ensuring spend is aligned with financial targets and short- and long-term strategic priorities.
    • Partner with Accounting to provide timely analysis & insights into period-over-period and actual vs. forecast performance.
  • Design and build financial processes that are scalable and sustainable (30%)
    • Continuously evaluate our financial processes and systems: identifying areas for improvement, implementing best practices and recommending enhancements to streamline financial operations.
    • Scope, roadmap, and implement financial planning software (Pigment, Adaptive) that improves efficiency and visibility for plan setting & ongoing variance reporting.
    • Establish and rollout policies & processes to enable seamless headcount and vendor management.
  • Partner with People, Engineering, Product, Business Development, Operations, and other cross-functional partners to enable better business decisions  (20%)
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for budgeting across the organization.
    • Work closely with other teams to build ROI-based business cases, and evaluate tradeoffs for new investments, aligning team needs and company priorities.

About this role

Two Chairs, a mental health startup reshaping the industry, is building out its Finance team with a Corporate FP&A Manager who will own planning, budgeting, and financial operations as the company scales. You'll report to the Head of FP&A and work across leadership, clinical teams, and operations to drive forecasting, headcount planning, and expense management. The role splits between leading the budgeting cycle and financial reporting (50%), designing scalable financial systems and implementing planning software like Pigment (30%), and partnering with cross-functional teams to build ROI-based business cases (20%). Within your first year, you'll establish regular budget reporting cadences, identify margin improvements, implement a robust planning system, and manage a Senior Financial Analyst.

This position suits someone with at least four years in FP&A or financial operations at a high-growth startup, including two years managing people. You should be comfortable with budgeting, vendor management, expense forecasting, and data tools—and equally important, you need to thrive in ambiguity, build processes from scratch, and communicate clearly across departments. The role demands strong attention to detail, structured thinking, and a collaborative mindset to wear multiple hats in a fast-paced environment. The position is fully remote and offers a fixed salary of $145,000.
