About this role
Crunchyroll's Communications team is seeking a contract Manager of Corporate Communications to develop and execute the company's business narrative across multiple divisions—from e-commerce and licensing to product and engineering. You'll work directly with C-suite executives to pitch stories to media, manage reporter relationships across business and trade publications, and handle the full lifecycle of corporate communications materials: press releases, speeches, talking points, and executive coaching. The role also involves securing speaking opportunities at industry events, managing awards submissions, and supporting internal communications efforts. Based in Los Angeles with remote flexibility, you'll attend in-person meetings twice monthly.
This position suits someone with at least five years in media relations or corporate communications who has built genuine relationships with journalists covering business, technology, and entertainment trade outlets. You should be comfortable working closely with senior leaders, have strong writing and verbal communication skills, and bring genuine familiarity with anime and pop culture. The role demands someone highly organized who can juggle multiple stakeholder needs, anticipate problems, and execute with polish under deadline pressure. A bachelor's degree is required, along with willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
The contract runs through a salary range of $49–$68 per hour, with additional benefits including performance bonuses, retirement matching, and health coverage.
