About this role
NuHarbor Security's eight-week summer internship offers a structured introduction to cybersecurity work through a mix of client engagements, job shadowing, and collaborative projects. You'll work alongside experienced security professionals on real client challenges while developing practical skills in risk assessment, threat research, and technical communication. The program pairs hands-on experience with intentional career coaching designed to help you clarify which cybersecurity specialization fits your interests—whether that's consulting, risk management, or another path within the field.
The role expects you to contribute meaningfully to team efforts, including leading a group project with other interns and supporting colleagues across internal and external stakeholder work. You'll need to be currently enrolled in a cybersecurity-related program or certification, able to articulate how this internship advances your specific career goals, and available to work in-office at the Burlington headquarters for the full summer. The position pays $18 per hour and requires US citizenship.
This internship suits someone genuinely exploring a cybersecurity career who values mentorship and diverse exposure over a single narrow task. If you're looking to test different specializations, build a professional network, and learn from practitioners in a collaborative environment, this could be a solid fit.
