About this role
Second Foundation Germany is seeking a Project Manager to oversee the implementation and commissioning of its growing battery storage portfolio. Based in Berlin, you would coordinate across internal teams, project developers, suppliers, and service providers to deliver innovative BESS solutions. The role demands someone with an engineering background—industrial, electrical, mechanical, or renewable energy—and several years managing large-scale energy or renewable projects. You'll need strong analytical skills, structured thinking, and the ability to absorb technical topics quickly while keeping stakeholders aligned.
The ideal candidate combines technical competence with soft skills: you should communicate confidently across international teams, stay solution-focused under pressure, and work independently with minimal supervision. Native-level German (C2) and very good English are essential, as is a valid driving licence for travel within Germany and occasional EMEA trips. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 rounds out the technical requirements.
Second Foundation offers a competitive salary with annual bonus potential, flexible hours and home office options, high-end equipment, public transport coverage via the BVG Deutschlandticket, meal vouchers, gym membership, and professional development opportunities. This is a full-time, in-office role in Berlin within an international 500-person firm specializing in energy trading and quantitative modelling.
