About this role
General Atlantic's Park Avenue office is seeking a Receptionist to join its front-desk team in a temporary-to-permanent role. You'll be the first point of contact for guests and callers, managing phone routing, conference room logistics, and the flow of the office's meeting spaces. The position involves coordinating catering, setting up audio-visual systems, greeting visiting employees from other GA offices, and handling the operational details that keep a busy investment firm running smoothly—all while maintaining the professional hospitality expected in a senior-level environment.
The role requires at least three years of reception experience and comfort with standard office systems (Outlook, Excel, Box, Zoom). You'll need strong organizational skills to juggle competing priorities, quick thinking to troubleshoot conflicts, and the maturity to interact confidently with executives. The ability to work independently while collaborating across teams is essential, as is genuine attention to detail and follow-through. This is a Monday-to-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in-office position with flexibility for overtime as needed.
General Atlantic offers competitive compensation between $60,000 and $90,000 based on your experience and qualifications, along with health and dental coverage, a retirement plan with employer matching, and professional development opportunities.
