About this role

Trilon Group's Transportation Team is seeking a Senior Roadway Designer to lead the full lifecycle of highway, interchange, and roadway projects across the Pacific Northwest. You'll own projects from initial analysis through final specifications and cost estimates, working with freeways, interstate systems, urban corridors, and shared-use trails. The role requires strong client relations and coordination across internal teams and subconsultants, so communication and project ownership are central to success.

This position requires a P.E. license and at least 10 years of roadway design experience, along with a civil engineering degree. You'll need proficiency in Microstation OpenRoads and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D, familiarity with WSDOT and ITD standards, and a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. Background in hydraulics or traffic engineering is valued but not required. The salary range is $135,000–$175,000, with standard benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching at 50% up to 6%, and paid professional development and licensure support.

The role is based in Seattle and in-office, though hybrid arrangements may be negotiable for the right candidate. Trilon offers an uncommon comp time policy allowing overtime hours to be paid out or banked as additional PTO, and you'll have the flexibility to work on projects locally or through workshare with other offices.
