About this role

HexArmor's R&D organization needs someone to manage the operational backbone of its product development work—coordinating technical data, tracking 60+ active projects, and processing 6–10 incoming requests daily. As R&D Project Specialist, you'd own the intake-to-completion flow of projects and testing data, working directly with engineers, technicians, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure information reaches the right people on time and in usable form. The role sits at the intersection of project management, data analytics, and process improvement, requiring you to identify bottlenecks, standardize workflows, and build systems that give leadership visibility into what's happening across the lab.

This position calls for someone with a technical background—a degree in data analytics, engineering, science, or a related field—and at least three years in data analytics, project management, technical operations, or laboratory work. You'll need strong organizational skills, comfort with complex data sets and Excel, and the ability to work across a technical team. Experience with quality systems, ISO standards, laboratory testing, or Salesforce would be valuable. More importantly, you should be comfortable in structured, process-driven environments and skilled at translating technical information for different audiences.

The role offers meaningful impact in a growing organization. You'd coordinate a team of about five people with responsibility to expand as the team scales, and you'd have direct influence on how HexArmor turns technical data into actionable insights. The work is in-office at HexArmor's Grand Rapids headquarters, full-time.
