About this role

Trilon Group is looking for a mid-level Traffic Engineer to take on meaningful ownership of signing, MOT, and traffic control design work across highway and intersection projects in the St. George area. You'd work with senior engineers and clients to develop solutions for interstates, freeways, and complex interchanges—moving beyond support tasks into leading small to mid-scale projects and preparing complete design packages with minimal oversight. This hybrid role suits someone with 4+ years of traffic engineering experience, a PE license, and solid command of industry software like MicroStation, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and traffic modeling tools.

The position balances technical depth with collaboration. You'll coordinate with project teams and stakeholders, help mentor junior staff, and contribute to resource planning across the traffic group. The company offers a flexible comp time policy, competitive salary ($90,000–$125,000), strong benefits including 50% 401(k) matching and professional development support, and a sign-on bonus. If you're ready to expand your technical skills while taking real ownership of project delivery, and you have hands-on experience with DOT standards and roadway design, this is a solid next step in your career.
