JOB PURPOSE
Fanatics Collectibles is seeking a Trade Marketing Manager to support trade marketing for our Hobby and Breaker channel, the heart of collector culture. This channel includes more than 600 independent hobby shops and 100 breaker accounts and represents one of the most important ways the Topps brand connects with collectors and the broader trading card community.
Reporting to the Director of Trade Marketing, this role is responsible for planning and executing trade marketing programs across the Hobby and Breaker channel. The Trade Marketing Manager will develop partner-facing tools and programs that drive engagement and sales, lead key community and tentpole marketing initiatives, and oversee the systems and processes that deliver marketing assets, communications, and product information to accounts. This role serves as the primary trade marketing partner to the sales organization supporting the channel and collaborates cross-functionally to bring channel priorities to market.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organized, collaborative, and community-minded marketer to make a meaningful impact within the collectibles industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and execute trade marketing programs across more than 600 hobby shops and 100 breaker accounts, translating brand, product, and marketing priorities into channel activations that drive engagement, sales, and collector participation.
- Partner closely with Sales Account Managers to support product launches, promotional programs, and account-specific initiatives, while developing marketing tools, merchandising solutions, and partner-facing resources that help drive business growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with hobby shops, breakers, and community partners, using partner and collector insights to inform channel opportunities and program development.
- Manage key community and tentpole initiatives, including Topps Rip Night, Tier 1 product launches, grassroots activations, and the Topps Rip Night Captains program.
- Manage marketing support for more than 300 product launches annually, ensuring timely delivery of product information, creative assets, communications, and promotional materials.
- Own channel marketing operations, including the digital asset hub, communication platforms, branded physical asset marketplace, creative briefing processes, and asset distribution workflows.
- Project manage major trade marketing initiatives by developing timelines, workback schedules, and execution plans while coordinating stakeholders across multiple functions.
- Track and analyze channel, campaign, and program performance; monitor KPIs; identify opportunities; and provide actionable recommendations to improve future activations.
- Collaborate with Sales, Brand Marketing, Product Marketing, Creative, Topps Media Network, and other stakeholders to ensure coordinated execution and exceptional collector experiences.
EXPERIENCE NEEDED
- 5+ years of experience in trade marketing, retail marketing, shopper marketing, brand marketing, or a related field.
- Experience developing and executing marketing programs across multiple stakeholders, channels, and deadlines.
- Experience supporting retail, specialty retail, independent business, creator, influencer, or community-driven channels.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with external partners and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage a high volume of launches, priorities, and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience managing marketing tools, systems, digital asset platforms, operational workflows, and performance measurement programs.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business objectives into actionable marketing initiatives and leverage performance insights to optimize results.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation development and stakeholder management.
- Comfortable balancing planning and hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment with a practical, solutions-oriented mindset.
- Understanding of trading cards, collectibles, hobby retail, or enthusiast communities preferred. Experience with creator partnerships, retail media, content marketing, or media partnerships is a plus.

About this role
Fanatics Collectibles is looking for a Trade Marketing Manager to lead go-to-market efforts across its Hobby and Breaker channel—a network of over 600 independent shops and 100 breaker accounts that form the backbone of collector engagement. You'd report to the Director of Trade Marketing and own the full spectrum of channel activations: designing partner-facing programs and tools, managing roughly 300 product launches annually, executing community initiatives like Topps Rip Night, and ensuring marketing assets and communications reach accounts on time and on strategy. This is fundamentally an operations and partnership role as much as a marketing one.
The day-to-day involves close collaboration with Sales Account Managers, hobby shop owners, and breaker operators to understand what drives collector participation and channel growth. You'll manage the digital asset hub, creative workflows, and performance tracking systems that keep the channel supplied with product information and promotional materials. You'll also project-manage major initiatives across multiple internal teams—Brand Marketing, Product Marketing, Creative, and others—to coordinate execution and maintain quality in a high-volume, fast-moving environment.
The role calls for five or more years in trade, retail, or shopper marketing, with proven ability to juggle multiple stakeholders, deadlines, and launches without losing detail. Strong project management, relationship-building, and systems thinking are essential. Familiarity with trading cards, hobby retail, or collector communities is preferred but not required. The position is full-time, in-office in Los Angeles, with a salary range of $98,900 to $123,050.
