This is an opportunity for intelligence professionals who know how to move beyond simply finding information. We’re looking for analysts who can discover, assess, connect, and interpret publicly available information (PAI) to help illuminate complex problems, identify emerging developments, and deliver intelligence that supports real-world missions.
If you enjoy digging deeper, connecting seemingly unrelated information, and turning large volumes of open-source data into meaningful intelligence, we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Do:
As a Mid-Career to Senior Open-Source Analyst, you will:
Conduct analysis using intelligence and information from multiple sources to assess, interpret, forecast, and explain national security issues and emerging developments that are regional or functional in nature.
Provide all-source and open-source analytic support to intelligence collection, operations, investigations, targeting, and other defense intelligence requirements.
Research and exploit publicly available information, social media, digital platforms, commercial databases, and other Internet-based sources.
Apply qualitative and quantitative analytic methodologies to complex intelligence problems.
Remain current on developments in academia, technology, and other disciplines that can enhance intelligence tradecraft and analytic methodology.
Review analytic products for logical arguments, intelligence tradecraft standards, sourcing, and adequate support for conclusions.
Challenge assumptions and test the analytic rigor of intelligence products.
Apply advanced Internet research techniques, including Boolean logic, advanced search methodologies, database exploitation, social networking tools, and commercial or industry-specific resources.
Support complex problem sets, including areas such as cryptocurrency, virtual assets, digital ecosystems, and emerging technologies.
What You Bring:
U.S. Citizenship
Active TS/SCI security clearance
Bachelor’s degree
Demonstrated experience using Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) tools and methodologies
Experience working with complex problem sets such as cryptocurrency and virtual assets
Professional experience related to OSINT research, collection management, intelligence analysis, PAI exploitation, or social media exploitation
Experience accessing, researching, and exploiting global and regional social media and digital platforms
Experience conducting open-source research, all-source intelligence analysis, or targeting
Knowledge of advanced Internet-based research techniques, including Boolean logic, advanced search techniques, search engines, specialized databases, social media, social networking tools, and commercial or industry databases
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays; to perform under high stress and short suspense; and to travel domestically and internationally (vaccinations may be required).
