About this role
Heapy is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design work on healthcare projects in Greenville, working hybrid. You'd own substantial segments of projects from initial planning through detailed design, cost estimation, and technical specifications—working independently while collaborating with a team of colleagues at various experience levels. The role draws on deep expertise in electrical systems for built environments, requiring you to apply standard engineering techniques, evaluate vendor submissions, and prepare technical reports like life cycle cost analyses for clients.
This position suits someone with at least 10 years of electrical engineering experience, an ABET-accredited degree, current FE certification, and a clear path toward PE registration within your first two years. You should be comfortable with design software and automated engineering tools, and equally at ease with field work—collecting data, running tests, and translating findings into actionable design decisions. Beyond technical depth, the role values someone organized and detail-oriented who can mentor junior engineers and contribute to developing design guides and specifications.
Heapy emphasizes genuine career growth and ownership. The package includes standard benefits—medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching—plus a 10–15% performance bonus, open PTO, an annual professional development stipend, and a company-wide wellness week. If you're looking to deepen your expertise in healthcare design while taking real ownership of your work, this is worth exploring.
