Titan Security is currently hiring a Detention Administrator to work at a correctional location in Lincoln Park, Michigan.
Prior corrections officer or law enforcement background preferred.
The Admin for this position will work in a correctional facility setting and will be responsible for duties to include:
- Oversee and monitor the activities of the intake and release areas.
- Complete all daily information forms necessary in processing offenders in/out of the facility.
- Update computer upon arrivals/departures of offenders.
- Update count board upon arrival/departure of offenders.
- Operate Fingerprinting for incoming offenders.
- Ensure all arriving offenders receive appropriate identification, including ID and wristband.
- Responsible for completion of inventory of property for incoming/outgoing offenders.
- Properly identify each offender scheduled to be released.
- Notify necessary departments of pending incoming/outgoing offenders.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
- Ability to handle physical and mental stress associated with working extended hours.
- Must be able to regularly report to work without being late.
- Ability to be physically alert on any shift that is assigned.
- Work experience in a correctional setting is preferred.
- May be required to possess a valid state driver’s license.
- Must be mature, flexible, able to command the respect and confidence of inmates or detainees and staff, philosophically committed to the objectives of the facility, and possess a high tolerance to mental stress.
Preferred Qualifications of Security Officers
