About this role

Rocket EMS is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to safeguard the integrity of high-reliability PCB assemblies at their Carson City facility. You'd own first article inspections and in-process monitoring across the SMT line, with the authority to halt production when defects emerge. The work demands expertise in IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 standards, the ability to read technical documentation, and a methodical approach to identifying and classifying defects before they reach customers.

This contract role suits someone with at least two years of electronics inspection experience in contract manufacturing who can work independently while coordinating closely with supervisors and quality leadership. Beyond the technical inspection work, you'll document findings daily, raise technical inquiries for discrepancies, and contribute ideas for process improvements. The position requires a high school diploma, strong English communication skills, and basic proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Rocket EMS offers a standard benefits package including 401(k) matching, medical/dental/vision coverage, and paid time off. The schedule is Monday–Friday with occasional overtime and weekend work as needed. Note that this role may require access to export-controlled technical data, so U.S. citizenship or eligibility for required government authorization is necessary. The pay range is $20–$25 per hour.
