About this role
Bon Air Animal Hospital is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join a multi-service practice in Richmond that treats dogs, cats, pigs, and chickens. You'll handle the full range of technical responsibilities—patient restraint and vitals, venipuncture and IV placement, medication administration, anesthesia monitoring, surgical assistance, laboratory work, and radiography—while supporting both the veterinary team and clients. The role demands strong communication skills, reliable patient handling, and genuine commitment to collaborative care.
The hospital invests significantly in its staff through tuition reimbursement, paid continuing education and license fees, paid VTS specialization opportunities, and clear pathways for professional development. You'll work with modern diagnostic equipment including digital radiography, ultrasound, and in-house laboratory services, giving you exposure to a broad scope of practice across preventive care, surgery, dentistry, and diagnostics. The position offers competitive compensation ($22–30/hour), comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
This is an in-office, full-time role suited to an experienced LVT who values being part of a stable team and wants room to grow within a single organization rather than move between practices.
