You'd oversee underground, rough-in, and trim installations—managing crews, coordinating resources, ensuring code compliance, and maintaining safety standards on every job site. This role demands hands-on expertise in all three phases of plumbing work, from trenching and stack installation through soldering and final fixture hookups, combined with the leadership skills to train installers, mentor emerging talent, and foster collaboration with builders and team members.
The position is physically demanding and requires versatility. You'll work 8–10 hour days in variable weather, handling everything from jackhammers and sledges to threading machines and soldering torches, often in tight spaces. Beyond technical proficiency with blueprints and systems like cast iron, copper, and septic installations, you'll complete daily reporting, participate in job meetings, manage change orders, and assess project health against specifications. Kelso offers competitive salary with performance bonuses, medical/dental/vision coverage, paid time off, company-paid life insurance, and a 401(k)—backed by a larger organization with 5,000+ employees across 40+ companies nationwide.
This role suits someone with proven plumbing foreman or lead installer experience who thrives on accountability, clear communication, and continuous improvement. You'll need personal tools and PPE, a valid driver's license, willingness to travel for out-of-town work, and legal U.S. work authorization. The application includes a written and field test, reference checks, and drug screening.
