Description

Company Overview:

Beam Therapeutics is a biotechnology company committed to establishing the leading, fully integrated platform for precision genetic medicines. To achieve this vision, Beam has assembled a platform with integrated gene editing, delivery and internal manufacturing capabilities. Beam’s suite of gene editing technologies is anchored by base editing, a proprietary technology that is designed to enable precise, predictable and efficient single base changes, at targeted genomic sequences, without making double-stranded breaks in the DNA. This has the potential to enable a wide range of therapeutic editing strategies that Beam is using to advance a diversified portfolio of base editing programs. Beam is a values-driven organization committed to its people, cutting-edge science, and a vision of providing life-long cures to patients suffering from serious diseases.

About this role

Beam Therapeutics is looking for a Senior IT Business Analyst to own the technology backbone of its General and Administrative operations as the company scales its precision genetic medicine platform. You'd support a portfolio of enterprise applications spanning finance, HR, legal, and operations—managing everything from new system implementations and enhancements to day-to-day production support and vendor coordination. This role demands both strategic thinking and hands-on execution: you'll gather requirements, lead release management, troubleshoot escalations, maintain documentation, and identify opportunities to apply AI tools that streamline workflows and improve user experience.

The position suits someone with at least six years of business analysis experience who has worked directly with G&A applications like SAP, Workday, SuccessFactors, or Coupa. You'll need a bachelor's degree in a related field and the ability to work autonomously while juggling competing priorities in a fast-moving biotech environment. Experience in life sciences is valued but not required. The role is based in Cambridge, Massachusetts with an expectation to be in the office twice weekly, and the salary range is $80,000 to $115,000.
