Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Strategy: Drive contested divorces, complex SAPCR cases, and protective orders.
- Command the Courtroom: Represent clients in Harris County and surrounding courts with confidence and clarity.
- Litigate with Excellence: Conduct depositions, mediations, and First-Chair trials using your deep knowledge of the Texas Family Code.
- Provide Counsel: Help clients navigate their toughest chapters with results-driven, compassionate representation.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- The Credentials: A valid Texas bar license for a minimum of 2 years.
- The Experience: At least 2 years of dedicated Texas Family Law litigation.
- The Skillset: A fearless presence in the courtroom and the ability to manage a high-impact docket under pressure. You are a highly organized advocate experienced in family law hearings, and estate / guardianship proceedings. From initial consults to the precision drafting of pleadings and discovery, you bring energy and discipline to every stage of the litigation process.

The Law Office of Bryan Fagan is looking for a family law litigator ready to focus entirely on courtroom work and client representation without the operational overhead that drains solo and small-firm practitioners. You'll manage contested divorces, SAPCR cases, and protective orders from intake through trial across Harris County and surrounding courts, handling depositions, mediations, and first-chair litigation with the full backing of the firm's marketing and administrative infrastructure. This is a role built for someone who wants to practice law at a high level without chasing leads or managing billing.
You'll need at least two years of Texas bar membership and two years of dedicated family law litigation experience, with demonstrated courtroom confidence and the ability to manage a demanding docket. The firm values organized advocates who can move fluidly from client counseling through pleadings, discovery, and trial preparation, and you should be comfortable working in Clio, TxDoc, Google Suite, and modern e-filing systems. A paralegal and billing coordinator are assigned to support your cases, removing administrative friction.
The position offers a base salary of $70,000–$130,000 plus performance bonuses with potential annual upside of $70,000 or more, standard benefits including 401(k) matching up to 5%, medical/dental/vision coverage, and a genuine hybrid arrangement designed around work-life balance.
