ABOUT MURAD

Founded by board-certified dermatologist and pharmacist Dr. Howard Murad, Murad is a dermatologist-developed skincare brand built on the belief that skincare is healthcare. Inspired by Dr. Murad's lifelong commitment to science-backed wellness, we create high-performance products and experiences designed to support healthier skin and happier lives.

At Murad, we bring together science, innovation and a holistic approach to wellness to help people look, feel and live better.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a Sales + Education Executive (SEE) to join our Field Sales & Education team. Reporting to the Senior Director of National Sales, this role will lead brand growth across a dynamic retail territory in Los Angeles in collaboration with our prestige beauty partners.

The ideal candidate will bring 3+ years of prestige beauty field or multi-door retail experience, a proven track record of driving retail rankings and store productivity, and strong coaching and business-planning capabilities, and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Drive sell-through and exceed monthly sales targets across the assigned Los Angeles territory
  • Lead regular strategy conversations with store and district leadership, sharing ranking insights and growth strategies
  • Improve brand ranking within key retail doors and influence remote store performance between visits
  • Execute launch strategies that convert excitement into revenue; identify whitespace opportunities and act quickly
  • Build and manage a team of freelance talent that extends reach and drives growth effectively
  • Deliver impactful in-store trainings and seasonal updates, adapting training styles across experience levels to build confident Murad sellers
  • Coach store partners to confidently recommend Murad and build advocacy within store teams, resulting in increased basket size
  • Execute events that increase traffic, conversion, repeat customers and store excitement; support merchandising execution and flag inventory risks early

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • 3+ years of prestige beauty field or multi-door retail experience
  • Proven success with increasing retail rankings and store productivity
  • Experience building business with large-format beauty retailers (e.g. ULTA, Sephora)
  • Confidence working independently across a territory with strong business planning capabilities
  • Strong communication, presentation and coaching skills
  • Proficiency with reporting tools and field tech (Microsoft Office, Power BI, skincare devices)
  • Ability to build effective relationships and collaborate across functions and levels
  • Must reside inside assigned territory; reliable transportation required; flexible schedule aligned to peak retail traffic and events (including evenings and weekends); overnight travel varies by market

NICE TO HAVE

  • Measurably turned around an underperforming territory or door set, and can walk through exactly what changed and why
  • Created an education program, event format, or selling playbook that other territories or regions adopted
  • Led product launches or piloted new in-store programs end-to-end, winning retailer buy-in along the way
  • Has coached or mentored fellow field reps, raising the bar beyond their own doors
  • Deep specialization in clinical or prestige skincare specifically, not just general beauty
  • Experience across multiple markets or a larger region, with a clear view of what scales and what doesn't

About this role

Murad's Sales and Education Executive role is a field-based position driving brand growth across the Los Angeles prestige beauty retail landscape, working directly with major doors like Ulta and Sephora. You'll own sell-through targets, build relationships with store and district leadership, execute product launches, and develop freelance teams to extend your reach across the territory. The work blends strategic business planning with hands-on execution—from in-store training and coaching store partners to event management and merchandising oversight.

This role suits someone with at least three years in prestige beauty field sales or multi-door retail who has a track record of lifting rankings and store productivity. You'll need strong presentation and coaching skills, comfort with reporting tools like Power BI, and the ability to work independently while collaborating across functions. The position is 100% field-facing, requiring you to live in the Los Angeles territory, maintain reliable transportation, and work flexible hours around peak retail traffic and evening or weekend events.

The freelance role offers a base salary of $70,000–$80,000 plus performance-based monthly and quarterly bonuses. You should expect significant time on your feet—up to eight hours daily—and occasional overnight travel. Ideal candidates bring proven success turning around underperforming territories, designing scalable education or launch programs, or deep expertise in clinical skincare.
