Why are we hiring:
To handle all GL related activities, handling clients call and helping the cited in case of any queries and supporting the team in case of any adhoc request closing of GL without any discrepancy.
Job location : Vikhroli
Shift : (3:30 am & 6:30 am)
Cab facility is available for home pick up & drop
What you'll be doing:
➡️ Responsible for general ledger accounting and month-end closing activities.
➡️ Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and assist in financial reporting.
➡️ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve queries.
➡️ Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
➡️ Coordinating with auditors for Interim audit and providing the details / schedules required by them.
➡️ Preparation of monthly and quarterly P&L, Balance sheet along with all schedule and other reports required by management.
➡️ Doing monthly analysis of P&L and Balance sheet items and highlight major variances/ observations to management.
➡️ Handling all GL related queries thru mails & calls from OPCO Team, Inter department, Agency & Region.
➡️ SOX Compliance
You will need :
- Education: Commerce Graduare with 4 - 7 years of experience into GL Accounting & RTR / Financial reporting
- Strong undrstanding of GL Accounting & RTR process.
We are preferring Mumbai based candidates.

About this role
WPP is seeking a General Ledger Analyst for its Mumbai office to manage core accounting operations and financial close activities. This role sits within the Reconciliation, Transactions and Reporting (RTR) function and involves month-end and quarterly close cycles, journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and production of P&L and balance sheet reports. You'll analyze financial variances, coordinate with auditors during interim audits, handle SOX compliance requirements, and respond to GL queries from internal teams and regional offices via email and phone.
The position requires a Commerce graduate with four to seven years of GL accounting and RTR or financial reporting experience. You should have a solid grasp of GL accounting processes and RTR workflows, and be comfortable working within a structured control environment. The role operates on an early shift (3:30–6:30 am) from the Vikhroli office with cab facilities provided; WPP operates on a hybrid model with in-office presence around four days weekly.
This is a fit for someone detail-oriented who can manage multiple stakeholder requests, work methodically through close cycles, and communicate financial findings clearly to management.
