About this role
Acturhire (WTW) is seeking an intern to support its health and benefits practice during summer 2027. You'd work on client-focused projects in a hybrid Houston office, contributing analytical and problem-solving work across health economics, risk management, and benefits strategy. The role suits someone pursuing a degree in actuarial science, human resources, finance, mathematics, or a quantitative field—ideally with a 3.0+ GPA and at least one prior internship or work experience demonstrating growing responsibility. If you're an actuarial student, passing one or more exams strengthens your candidacy.
Success in this position requires strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, excellent written and oral communication, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, client-driven environment. You should be resourceful, inquisitive, and genuinely motivated to solve problems and deliver quality work. This is a local hybrid role requiring you to commute to Houston; relocation support is not available, and you must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
The internship pays $27–$30 per hour and qualifies for overtime. WTW views this program as a pipeline to full-time graduate roles, so strong performance can lead to permanent opportunities. You must be graduating between December 2027 and June 2028 to meet program requirements. The company offers retirement benefits including a 401(k) and pension plan.
