About this role
Acturhire (WTW) is recruiting interns for its Health and Benefits team in San Francisco for summer 2027, targeting students pursuing degrees in actuarial science, human resources, health economics, risk management, business, finance, or related quantitative fields. You'll need a 3.0 GPA minimum, and if you're an actuarial student, passing one or more exams strengthens your candidacy. The role is hybrid and requires you to be local to the Bay Area with no relocation support offered.
The internship emphasizes both independent work and close collaboration, with a focus on solving client problems in a fast-paced environment. You should be comfortable with Excel and PowerPoint, have strong communication skills, and demonstrate accountability and resourcefulness. Prior internship or work experience showing increasing responsibility is expected. This position pays $27–$30 per hour and is eligible for overtime, plus WTW offers retirement benefits including a 401(k) and pension plan.
The internship is explicitly designed as a pipeline to full-time graduate roles, so your expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028 is a hard requirement. You must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship and able to commute to the San Francisco office.
