  • 5+ years of experience in content marketing, preferably in tech
  • Familiarity with editorial processes
  • Proven ability to distill complicated concepts
  • Experience running campaigns
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, and comfort with working on deadlines

While not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:

  • Journalism experience
  • Background in marketing at a high-growth tech company
  • Experience marketing technical products
At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. We believe in hiring smart, curious people who are excited to learn and develop their skills. If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with the points outlined in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.

About this role

Figma is seeking a Content Strategist to lead editorial initiatives that connect product storytelling with marketing strategy. You'd own major projects like the annual Scope campaign and print magazine while developing always-on content across blogs, newsletters, and reports. The role bridges creative editorial work with data-driven marketing, requiring you to distill complex product concepts for different audiences and collaborate across Product Marketing, Growth, Brand, and the Story Studio team.

The position calls for at least five years in content marketing, ideally in tech, along with editorial expertise and proven campaign execution skills. You'll need strong project management capabilities and the ability to work under deadline pressure. Journalism experience or background marketing technical products at high-growth companies would strengthen your candidacy, though the team values curiosity and learning potential as much as perfect background alignment.

Based in San Francisco or New York with in-office requirements, this full-time role offers a salary range of $153,000–$221,000 plus equity and comprehensive benefits including health coverage, retirement contributions, parental leave support, and flexible PTO for exempt employees.
