About this role
Leading a large-scale data migration into Salesforce at a federal services firm requires both technical depth and stakeholder management. This role centers on architecting the movement of data from Microsoft Dynamics and NetCRM into Salesforce's Person Account model—a complex undertaking that spans data profiling, transformation, deduplication, and governance. You'd own the full lifecycle from strategy through production cutover and reconciliation, working closely with data stewards to ensure quality and compliance at each stage.
The technical toolkit is specific: you need hands-on experience with Salesforce Person Accounts, strong familiarity with both legacy systems being replaced, and solid proficiency in MuleSoft DataWeave for transformation logic. Beyond the mechanics of migration, you'll design a deduplication strategy using Salesforce's native tools alongside custom Apex and Lightning Web Components, then establish the data governance framework that keeps the platform clean and secure long-term. This is not a purely technical execution role—you'll prepare formal deliverables for stakeholder sign-off and navigate the competing priorities of data stewards across the organization.
The position is based in Washington, DC and requires in-office presence. Compensation ranges from $109,500 to $224,200 depending on experience and other factors. This suits someone with proven data migration experience who can balance technical problem-solving with the communication and collaboration needed to move a federal client's mission-critical systems forward.
