Grow the Program
- SCIF: Work with the Industrial Security Lead cross functionally to plan, accredit, and operate the future SCIF.
- Civil, state, and local customers: Own our CJIS personnel security program under the FBI CJIS Security Policy and support customer security reviews.
How you’ll work:
We value how you learn and solve problems as much as what you’ve done

- Process minded: You simplify and automate outcomes, using AI and workflow tools.
- Self directed: You take ownership and stay steady in ambiguity.
What we look for:
- Clearance: An active U.S. government security clearance (Secret minimum, Top Secret preferred) and eligibility for SCI.

About this role
Databricks Federal is building security operations that scale with rapid growth, and this contract role sits at the center of that effort. As Deputy Facility Security Officer, you'd support the administration of industrial security and CJIS programs under NISPOM while simultaneously designing the automated workflows and AI-assisted processes that let a lean team manage an expanding workforce. The work spans clearance lifecycle management, mandatory compliance reporting, DD254 contract security administration, and security awareness training—but with a forward-looking emphasis on identifying repetitive tasks and building systems to handle them.
This role demands someone with at least five years of hands-on industrial or personnel security experience at a cleared contractor, government office, or military background, including direct familiarity with NISPOM, DCSA interactions, and the systems ecosystem (DISS-JVS, NISS, SWFT, NBIS eApp). You'll need an active Secret clearance minimum, with Top Secret and SCI eligibility preferred. Beyond technical compliance knowledge, the role values problem-solving mindset, process thinking, and the ability to work cross-functionally across Corporate Operations, Legal, and Field Engineering to simplify and automate outcomes.
The position is based in Washington, DC and requires in-office work. It's a contract role paying $133,700–$183,800 annually, with potential performance bonus and equity. If you have security clearance, industrial security depth, and genuine interest in modernizing security operations through automation rather than just maintaining existing programs, this could be a strong fit.
