About this role
Working the 3rd shift at Forge Biologics means being the backbone of overnight operations in a state-of-the-art gene therapy manufacturing facility. You'll monitor critical equipment like bioreactors and chromatography systems, keep detailed GMP documentation, and ensure the cleanroom stays production-ready throughout the night. This role bridges hands-on technical work—equipment setup, material staging, troubleshooting—with coordination across manufacturing, quality, facilities, and engineering teams to maintain the continuity that keeps AAV therapies moving toward patients.
The position suits someone with a technical foundation (associate's degree or equivalent experience) who's comfortable working independently in a regulated environment and can think systematically through equipment issues. You'll need strong attention to detail for compliance documentation, the ability to work in PPE and cleanroom gear, and flexibility with 3rd shift scheduling. Prior exposure to GMP manufacturing or cell and gene therapy environments is preferred but not required; what matters most is your troubleshooting mindset and willingness to escalate complex problems to the right teams rather than working in isolation.
