About this role

VC3 serves hundreds of municipalities and organizations across the US and Canada, and this role puts you on the front lines of that mission. As an IT Field Engineer I, you'll drive to client sites to install hardware, troubleshoot workstations and printers, and resolve connectivity issues involving networks, VPNs, and remote access technologies. You'll be the technical expert clients interact with directly, responsible for clear communication, accurate documentation, and educating clients on best practices while flagging recurring problems for the broader team to address.

The position requires a valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and genuine comfort working onsite at customer locations on a hybrid basis. You'll need two years of hands-on experience with Windows client operating systems, Microsoft/Office 365, security tools, and core networking concepts like TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS—or one year in a VC3 Service Technician role. You'll also participate in an on-call rotation roughly once every three to four months. This is a full-time role suited to someone who takes ownership of problems, stays curious about improving systems, and thrives in a collaborative environment where your technical decisions directly impact client success.
