About this role
Asana is building out a dedicated federal civilian sales practice and seeking an Enterprise Account Executive to own the relationship-building and revenue growth within this specialized segment. You'd be responsible for landing new business and expanding existing accounts across civilian agencies like HHS, DHS, and DOT, which means mastering the unique procurement landscape—GSA schedules, BPAs, IDIQs, and federal contracting vehicles—while anticipating the regulatory and budgetary objections that come with government sales. This role demands someone who can navigate complex stakeholder environments, from C-suite executives to program managers, and translate Asana's value proposition into solutions that address agency-wide needs.
You'll need at least four years of direct enterprise or federal sales experience, with eight years closing business overall, and a track record of hitting quota in the SaaS space. Familiarity with federal fiscal cycles and appropriations processes is valuable, as is the ability to uncover expansion opportunities within established accounts. The role also expects you to stay curious about AI and emerging tools, and to work cross-functionally with SDRs, marketing, and customer success teams to deliver measurable outcomes.
The position offers a base salary of $145,000–$165,000 with performance-based incentives bringing total on-target earnings to $290,000–$330,000. You can work fully remote depending on your state, or hybrid from a US office (typically Monday, Tuesday, Thursday in-office). Asana provides mental health and wellness benefits, career coaching, family building support, and retirement plans, with additional details available through your recruiter.
