About this role
Neptune Retail Solutions operates one of North America's largest in-store media networks, and this Area Manager role puts you in charge of merchandising operations across the Cleveland region—including cities like Akron, Youngstown, and Mentor. You'd manage a team of roughly 23 part-time merchandisers who install and service advertising programs in major retail chains including Giant Eagle, Kroger, CVS, and Dollar General. The work is field-based from a home office, meaning you'll oversee execution, quality, and accountability across multiple locations rather than sitting at a desk.
Success in this role hinges on your ability to hire, train, and motivate a distributed team while staying on top of program delivery and client satisfaction. You'll need to anticipate problems, audit results, and drive continuous improvement—balancing direct leadership with the analytical mindset to spot inefficiencies and innovate solutions. This is a hands-on management position that rewards ownership and follow-through.
The ideal candidate brings at least two years of remote management experience, a college degree or equivalent, and a valid driver's license. Beyond credentials, you'll need strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the initiative to hold both yourself and your team accountable. If you thrive managing people across dispersed locations and want to make a tangible impact on retail operations, this is worth exploring.
