About Us

IMC is a research-driven trading firm where quantitative modeling, machine learning, and engineering shape how modern markets are traded. A stabilizing force in markets since 1989, we provide liquidity across trading venues, delivering the best outcome in value and risk management to investors. Using our own technology and capital, we build proprietary systems and algorithms that operate across global markets. Our researchers, traders, and engineers work as a collective, combining rapid experimentation, advanced infrastructure, and real-time feedback to turn insight into execution and execution into advantage.

About this role

IMC Trading is hosting a two-day immersion program in Mumbai designed to give women engineering students direct exposure to trading, technology, and quantitative research. Rather than a traditional job posting, this is an educational initiative where you'll participate in hands-on workshops covering software development, quant research, trading simulations, and performance engineering, while meeting IMC's leaders and traders. The program is fully funded—IMC covers all travel and accommodation costs—and brings together women from across India's top engineering institutions to explore careers at a firm that combines algorithmic trading with proprietary technology.

The program is open to women students graduating in 2029 from any IIT, BITS Pilani, or BITS Goa, regardless of academic branch or CGPA. IMC is looking for demonstrated excellence and genuine curiosity about trading or technology; no specific grades or background are required to apply. Selection involves a coding and domain assessment, a virtual interview, and review of your resume, with results announced by late October ahead of the December program dates.

This is best suited for engineering students seriously exploring whether trading and quantitative finance align with your interests before graduation. If you want hands-on exposure to how a major trading firm operates, direct mentoring from experienced practitioners, and a no-cost opportunity to network with peers in the space, the application window closes October 20th, 2026.
