About this role
RIVA Solutions is looking for a Senior Data Security Solution Architect to lead the technical design and implementation of AI and data security solutions for federal government clients. You'd serve as the technical authority on complex architecture decisions, working across Databricks, Unity Catalog, Mosaic AI Gateway, and AWS GovCloud to integrate security technologies like DSPM, AI-DLP, and CNAPP. The role spans both strategic work—developing compliance mappings to NIST AI RMF and FISMA, designing governance controls, and presenting to leadership—and hands-on technical guidance supporting engineering teams through production deployments.
This position demands deep expertise in federal security environments and a current CISSP certification. You'll need substantial hands-on experience with the specific platforms and tools in the stack, along with the ability to architect across encryption, IAM, secure development practices, and risk management. Strong executive communication skills matter as much as technical depth, since you'll be leading architecture reviews and technical briefings alongside your design work.
The role is based in Alexandria, Virginia and requires in-office presence. It's a full-time position with a salary range of $175,000–$185,000. You'll need to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance. Additional certifications in AWS Security, Databricks, or Azure security, combined with penetration testing or intellectual property protection experience, would strengthen your candidacy.
