About this role

Farnsworth Group, a nationally recognized architectural engineering firm, is looking for a Structural Engineer to join their Austin office on a hybrid basis. You'd be responsible for the full scope of structural work—analysis and design, construction documents, site visits, and client coordination—serving a nationwide client base that ranges from small communities to major brands. The role blends technical depth with client interaction, and you'd be expected to contribute to business development activities alongside your core engineering work.

The position calls for a bachelor's degree in civil, structural, or architectural engineering with 3 to 7 years of hands-on experience in building structures. PE or SE licensure is preferred. You should have solid experience with both new construction and renovation projects, working across steel, concrete, masonry, and wood. Revit proficiency is preferred. Beyond technical skills, the role emphasizes communication, teamwork across disciplines, and the ability to juggle multiple projects while potentially mentoring others.

Farnsworth Group has earned Great Place to Work certification for eleven consecutive years and offers a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) matching up to 5%, medical/dental/vision coverage, paid time off, professional development support, and wellness reimbursements. The salary range is $83,000 to $116,000, determined by your qualifications and experience.
