About this role

Farnsworth Group is looking for a Project Architect to lead design work and mentor staff at their Phoenix office, primarily serving the advanced technology sector while supporting industrial, municipal, healthcare, and other institutional markets. You'd take on both senior designer and project leadership roles across the full lifecycle of work—from concept through construction delivery—while also driving business development and building client relationships. This is a hybrid position that sits at the intersection of hands-on design expertise and people leadership.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Architecture and eight to twelve years of experience in architectural design, construction documentation, and project management. Arizona licensure and NCARB certification are preferred. You should have a solid grasp of construction techniques, demonstrated ability to develop specifications, and proven success managing and mentoring teams. Experience collaborating across disciplines and a track record of developing new clients will strengthen your candidacy.

Farnsworth Group is a 650-person firm that's held Great Place to Work certification for eleven consecutive years. Beyond the standard benefits package—401(k) match, health insurance, paid time off, and professional development—they emphasize flexibility and work-life balance through their hybrid program. This is a stable, established firm where your focus can be on both delivering quality projects and growing the next generation of architects.
