About this role

Trilon Group is seeking a Professional Engineer with water resources expertise to join their Albuquerque office on a full-time, in-office basis. You'll take on design and analysis work across waterline, pumping, storage, and sewer collection systems—projects that span multiple disciplines and require both technical depth and client-facing skills. The role involves hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, preparing studies and specifications, coordinating with municipalities and agencies, and managing projects from conception through delivery alongside a team of engineers and technicians.

This position requires a PE license and a civil engineering degree, along with 2–4 years of hands-on experience in water systems or hydraulics design. You should be proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, WaterCAD, and hydrologic modeling software like HEC-RAS. Prior relationships with municipal or water agencies are a strong advantage. Beyond technical skills, the role demands solid communication and organizational abilities—you'll present to clients, coordinate stakeholders, and juggle multiple concurrent projects while meeting deadlines and budgets.

Trilon Group offers a salary range of $100,000–$130,000 and a flexible comp time policy that lets you convert overtime into additional pay or PTO. Benefits include comprehensive health coverage, generous paid time off, a 401(k) match, professional development funding, and paid professional memberships and licensure support.
