About this role
Trilon Group is seeking a Professional Engineer to lead roadway design work across a range of transportation projects—from interstate highways and urban streets to shared-use trails. You'll own projects from conception through delivery, handling design and analysis, preparing technical documentation, coordinating with other disciplines, and managing client and stakeholder relationships alongside a Project Manager. The role demands both technical depth in geometric design and the communication skills to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
This position suits someone with 5–10 years of roadway engineering experience, a current or obtainable PE license, and solid command of Bentley or Autodesk software. You'll need a strong foundation in AASHTO standards, DOT procedures, and plan preparation, with drainage or traffic engineering as valuable additions to your skillset. The company emphasizes mentorship and tailored career growth, whether you're moving toward project management, deeper technical expertise, or a hybrid path.
Trilon Group offers competitive pay, comprehensive health and retirement benefits including a 401(k) match, generous PTO, and an unmatched comp time policy that lets you convert overtime hours to additional pay or time off. Professional development support, paid licensure, and in-house training are included. The role is full-time and based in Denver, requiring in-office presence.
