About this role
Loenbro is seeking an Environmental Specialist to lead sustainability and environmental compliance across its construction projects, fabrication shops, and facilities nationwide. You'll own the full lifecycle of environmental data—from collection and validation through reporting and analysis—while ensuring the company meets air, waste, water, and permitting requirements across multiple states and operations. This role bridges strategy and execution: you'll develop sustainability dashboards and client disclosures for leadership, conduct field inspections to identify risks, manage corrective actions, and coordinate waste and materials handling with site teams and vendors.
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in environmental science, sustainability, environmental engineering, or a related field, plus at least five years of hands-on experience in environmental compliance, EHS, construction, or industrial settings. You'll need strong working knowledge of multi-site compliance programs, proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHS management systems, and the ability to interpret regulations and translate them into practical field actions. Experience with greenhouse gas inventories, hazardous waste requirements, SPCC, stormwater, or environmental incident response is valued, as are certifications like CHMM, REM, or HAZWOPER.
Based in Dallas and reporting to the Corporate Environmental and Facilities Safety Director, you'll work in-office and travel as needed. Success here requires meticulous recordkeeping, clear communication across diverse teams—from operations and procurement to customers and regulators—and the ability to influence compliance outcomes without direct authority. This is a full-time role suited to someone who can balance data rigor with practical problem-solving across a complex, multi-location operation.
