Description

Here at Scout Motors, we're carrying forward the heritage of one of the most iconic American vehicles in history. A vehicle dating back to 1960. One that forged the path for future generations of rugged SUVs and trucks and will do so once again.

But Scout is more than just a brand, it’s a legacy steeped in a culture of exploration, caretaking, and hard work.

The Scout brand is all about respect. Respect for the past and the future by taking an iconic American brand that hasn’t been around for a while, electrifying it, digitizing it, and loading it with American innovation. Respect for communities by creating a company that stands for its people and its customers. Respect for both work and play, with vehicles that are equally at home at a camp site, a job site, or on a Tuesday commute. And respect for our customers by developing two powertrains that meet their requirements — an all-electric powertrain as well as the Harvester™ range extender powertrain which includes a built-in gas-powered generator with an estimated 500 miles of combined range.

At Scout Motors, we empower our talented, inclusive, and entrepreneurial teams to innovate. What makes a Scout employee? About this role

Scout Motors is building an electric pickup truck and rugged SUV brand from the ground up, and this role puts you at the center of the technology infrastructure that will power their direct-to-consumer sales model. As Lead of Sales Technology, you'll own the full strategy and delivery of the systems ecosystem—from order management and retail operations through transportation, S&OP, and delivery readiness. This means translating how Scout actually sells and fulfills vehicles into scalable, launch-ready platforms that integrate with SAP, logistics, finance, and digital products across a matrixed organization.

The work is hands-on and strategic in equal measure. You'll evaluate vendor solutions and system options, make architectural decisions under incomplete information, and partner across Sales Operations, Retail Operations, Logistics, and Platform Engineering to manage competing priorities and dependencies. The role demands someone who can move fluently between business process design and technical delivery—someone comfortable simplifying complex workflows into clear system decisions and holding teams accountable to enterprise standards, data governance, and operational readiness.

You'll need a proven track record delivering business-critical systems in complex environments, with strong grounding in sales ops, retail ops, order management, or commercial transaction platforms. Experience implementing OMS, CRM, ERP, TMS, or planning systems is expected. The role is based in Charlotte, North Carolina or Fremont, California, requiring 4–5 days per week in office plus occasional travel. The salary range is $160,000–$192,500.
