About this role
Landscape Forms, a 50-year-old manufacturer of site furniture and LED lighting based in Kalamazoo, is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Journeyman to keep its production operations running smoothly. You'll troubleshoot and repair a range of equipment—hydraulic and pneumatic systems, CNC machines, powder coat equipment, robotic systems, and facility infrastructure—working across mechanical, electrical, and automated systems. The role balances reactive troubleshooting with preventive maintenance planning, and you'll partner closely with Manufacturing Engineering and production teams to minimize downtime and identify ways to improve equipment reliability.
The position runs Tuesday through Friday, 6:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., with overtime on Mondays and early weekend mornings as needed for machine issues or planned projects. You'll need a Journeyman certification in Industrial Maintenance or a related trade, solid experience in manufacturing or industrial settings, and the ability to read schematics, interpret technical drawings, and work independently while troubleshooting complex problems. Strong communication and the capacity to balance competing priorities—knowing when to escalate and when to own a repair through to completion—are essential.
Landscape Forms offers direct-hire stability with health, dental, and vision coverage starting day one, quarterly profit-sharing bonuses, a 401(k) match, employer-paid life insurance, tuition reimbursement, and early wage access. The company emphasizes long-term career development and has a track record of retaining maintenance staff who value both the technical work and the team environment.
