About this role
Working in the VA Enterprise Operations Center, you'd manage the operational backbone of a critical federal health IT environment. This role sits at the intersection of logistics, crisis management, and executive communication—you'd oversee shift rotations, maintain real-time incident tracking and documentation, brief senior leadership, and coordinate across multiple technical teams and site command centers during high-stakes deployments and system go-lives. It's a Watch Officer role with added responsibility for team scheduling, facility coordination, and process standardization.
The position calls for someone with at least five years in operations centers, emergency management, or military command environments who has managed shift-based teams. You'll need strong proficiency in Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and operational dashboards, plus the ability to distill complex, real-time information into clear briefings for government leadership. Prior experience supporting VA or federal programs is strongly preferred, as are certifications in ITIL or emergency management and familiarity with incident management systems like ServiceNow or Remedy.
Based in Washington, DC and full-time in-office, the role offers a salary range of $106,300 to $221,100 depending on experience and qualifications. Accenture Federal Services emphasizes professional development, certifications, and training as part of its culture.
