About this role

Emerson Test & Measurement is seeking an intern to help drive AI transformation across its business operations in Austin. You'd work directly with business leaders and data analysts to identify manual processes ripe for automation, build proof-of-concept solutions using tools like Microsoft Copilot and Power BI, and translate operational challenges into data-driven recommendations. The role centers on discovering where AI can improve forecasting, reporting, decision-making, and team productivity—then designing and testing those solutions at scale.

This internship suits someone pursuing a degree in business, data analytics, computer science, or a related field who combines analytical rigor with genuine curiosity about emerging technology. You'll need solid Excel skills, the ability to work with data, and comfort presenting findings to senior stakeholders. Beyond technical capability, Emerson values intellectual honesty and collaboration—they want someone who asks good questions, experiments with new tools, and communicates recommendations clearly to non-technical audiences.

The company offers standard intern exposure to cross-functional teams and practical experience with enterprise AI platforms, alongside competitive benefits including flexible time off, tuition reimbursement, and comprehensive health coverage. Note that this is a full-time, in-office role in Austin, and candidates must already have legal authorization to work in the US.
