About this role
Frazier & Deeter is building out its CMMC practice and seeking an Advisory Manager to own the full lifecycle of cybersecurity readiness and certification engagements for defense contractors. You would manage multiple concurrent assessments against NIST standards, serve as the executive point of contact for clients navigating CUI scoping and remediation strategy, and direct teams conducting technical evaluations. The role blends hands-on technical leadership with client relationship ownership and P&L accountability—you'd oversee scope, budget, staffing, and delivery quality while ensuring work meets firm and CMMC Ecosystem standards.
Beyond delivery, you'd shape the practice's growth. This includes supporting business development through proposals and cross-sell opportunities, building thought leadership through webinars and industry events, and refining assessment methodology as CMMC and DoD requirements evolve. You'd also supervise and develop Senior Consultants and Consultants, supporting their credential progression and performance.
The role requires a bachelor's degree in IT, cybersecurity, or a related field and seven to ten years in IT audit, cybersecurity, risk advisory, or CMMC work—with at least two years managing engagements. You must hold the Certified CMMC Professional credential, with CCA certification preferred, and U.S. citizenship is required. Additional certifications like CISA or CISSP are valued. You'll work in-office in Atlanta and need deep technical knowledge of NIST SP 800-171, ITGCs, access and vulnerability management, encryption, and cloud security considerations.
