About this role
Highland Park Animal Hospital is a well-established, full-service practice in Dallas seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join a collaborative team in their modern three-story facility. You'd work across a comprehensive range of services—from preventative care and emergency medicine to advanced surgery, dentistry, internal medicine, and specialized diagnostics like endoscopy and ultrasonography. This breadth of exposure means your clinical skills will continue to develop significantly beyond what many practices offer.
Your day-to-day work would involve patient care for dogs and cats, assisting veterinarians with exams and procedures, IV catheter placement and blood draws, anesthesia monitoring, medication administration, and client education. The role demands strong foundational skills in venipuncture, anesthesia support, and vaccine knowledge, plus the ability to communicate clearly with both clients and team members in a fast-paced environment. An LVT, RVT, or CVT credential is preferred, and prior veterinary technician experience is required.
The hospital invests in its staff through tuition reimbursement, continuing education allowances, paid professional dues and license fees, and support for VTS specialization. You'll also receive standard benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, a 401(k) match, and paid time off. This is a full-time, in-office position suited to someone ready to deepen their clinical expertise within an established practice that prioritizes both patient care and professional growth.
