About this role
Valar Atomics is building advanced nuclear power systems, and they need an IT Engineer to be the backbone of their technology operations at their Orangeville pilot plant. You'd be the primary onsite technical resource in a mixed Mac, Windows, and mobile environment, handling everything from day-to-day user support through systems administration and network troubleshooting. This is a hands-on role that demands both breadth and depth—you'll manage device enrollments and troubleshoot connectivity issues one moment, then administer Intune, Jamf, and Entra ID the next, all while maintaining accurate asset and software license records.
The position requires at least four years of IT support or systems administration experience, with demonstrated competency across macOS and Windows endpoints, mobile device management platforms (Intune, Addigy, or Jamf), and Tier 2 network troubleshooting. You'll need working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS GovCloud, and the ability to operate independently while collaborating across teams. Security+ or CCNA certifications, or prior military IT experience, would strengthen your candidacy.
This role suits someone who thrives as a generalist problem-solver, values autonomy, and wants to contribute directly to a high-impact startup. You'll have equity ownership, comprehensive benefits including unlimited PTO and free daily lunch, and genuine opportunities for growth within a company building transformative energy technology. The requirement to work full-time onsite in Orangeville, Utah is non-negotiable.
