About this role

H2 Orthodontics, part of Specialty Dental Brands, is seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to work chairside and support the clinical team in their Kalispell practice. You'll assist the orthodontist during procedures—placing and removing braces, taking digital impressions, adjusting wires, and managing Invisalign and other appliances. Beyond chairside work, you'll prepare patients for treatment, explain procedures, sterilize instruments, maintain clinical areas, take diagnostic X-rays, and manage patient records in the EHR system. The role emphasizes both technical competence and genuine patient care, from ensuring comfort during procedures to educating patients on appliance care and post-treatment instructions.

This position suits someone with a background in dental or orthodontic assisting—ideally one to two years of experience—though candidates with a high school diploma and completion of an orthodontic assisting program may be considered. You'll need strong manual dexterity, attention to detail, solid communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently as part of a team. Knowledge of orthodontic procedures and terminology is expected, as is the ability to maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA protocols. The clinic values outgoing, hardworking team members who are willing to learn and committed to delivering exceptional patient experiences.
