About this role
Specialty Dental Brands is seeking a Procurement Specialist to serve as a key support function for its network of pediatric dentistry, orthodontic, and oral surgery practices. In this hybrid role based in Nashville, you'll be the responsive point of contact managing procurement requests, vendor relationships, and purchasing coordination across the organization. Your day-to-day work will involve monitoring ticketing systems, troubleshooting user access to procurement platforms like Coupa, fielding vendor and practice inquiries, and training Office Managers on ordering processes. You'll need strong communication skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment where issues and deadlines shift regularly.
The role rewards someone with prior experience in procurement, purchasing, customer service, or vendor management—though familiarity with systems like Zendesk, Halo, or Coupa is a plus rather than a requirement. You should be organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable learning new systems as the department transitions platforms. Excel proficiency and solid problem-solving skills matter. Any background in dental or healthcare settings will serve you well, but what matters most is your genuine interest in helping others and your ability to follow through on commitments while remaining flexible when priorities change.
You'll work three days on-site in The Nations neighborhood and two days remote, with standard 8 a.m.–5 p.m. hours. SDB offers a structured onboarding program, competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits including health and dental coverage, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and a collaborative culture focused on supporting both your team and the practices you serve.
