About this role

Fender's Electronics Product Engineering team in Phoenix is looking for an Industrial Designer II to shape the physical design of guitar amplifiers, speakers, and related electronics products. You'd translate feedback from product, marketing, and engineering teams into polished concept drawings, high-fidelity renderings, and prototype models. The work spans material research and manufacturing process recommendations, front and rear panel graphics, ergonomics, and presentation-ready visuals for stakeholder review.

The role demands solid technical skills: proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Solidworks, and Keystone rendering, plus strong manual sketching and Cintiq experience. You'll need three to five years of industrial design experience, a degree in the field or equivalent background, and the ability to collaborate across departments—product marketing, engineering, and the VP of Design will all shape your direction. This is an in-office position in Phoenix paying $65,000 to $75,000 annually, with standard benefits including medical, dental, 401(k), and paid time off.

This suits someone who enjoys translating cross-functional input into consumer product design, works well in structured team environments, and has the technical toolkit to move quickly from concept to presentation. If you're comfortable with both digital design tools and hands-on sketching, and you're interested in designing products for musicians, it's worth a closer look.
