About this role
DISCO is seeking a Vice President to lead its Customer Success and Enablement organization from the ground up—building the strategy, standards, and team structure that will drive client value and consumption growth across the company's legal technology platform. This role owns both the customer success function (account planning, team performance, professional development) and the enablement function (training, playbooks, adoption programs), requiring you to operate as a strategic partner across Sales, Product, Marketing, and Finance while reporting directly to executive leadership.
The ideal candidate brings 7+ years in Customer Success or related SaaS roles, with at least 5 years managing people and 2+ years managing managers. You'll need fluency in consumption-based revenue models—understanding how to build metrics and isolate CS's contribution to growth without a traditional renewal base—and ideally bring experience from legal technology, eDiscovery, or complex B2B SaaS environments serving expert users like attorneys. Strong people leadership skills are essential: you'll need to coach managers of managers, build accountability-driven performance cultures, and make difficult talent decisions with fairness and courage.
Your day-to-day will span setting department-wide value realization programs, owning CS technology and AI strategy (with accountability for ROI on investments), evolving client enablement as products and client needs evolve, and leading DISCO's Client Advisory Board alongside Marketing and Product. Legal technology experience and background in onboarding or training functions are preferred but not required. The role is based in Austin, Texas, in-office, and includes competitive salary, RSUs, medical/dental/vision coverage, 401(k), and flexible PTO.
